Bridgewater is in Wesley Chapel between Curley Road and Boyette Road. It's close to Tampa yet far enough away to avoid the noise and bustle of city life, thanks to easy access to I-75.
Thomas E. Weightman Middle, Watergrass Elementary, and Wesley Chapel High School are among the nearby schools. There are also several preschools and childcare centers nearby and some private institutions.
Wesley Chapel District Park is a short walk away and has over 140 acres of pleasure for tourists. Multiple adult and youth baseball fields are available, and illuminated soccer fields, football fields, basketball, and tennis courts. The Bridgewater of Wesley Chapel Community Development District (the "District") is structured similarly to other Florida local authorities. The Board of Supervisors, its legislature, is made up of five members. The Board determines the District's policies in compliance with Florida law.
The Board is required by law to hire a District Manager and District Counsel. Staff personnel follows the same procedures as the County Administrator and County Attorney. The Board rates and selects a District Engineer to execute the District's engineering needs based on a review of published Requests for Qualifications. The District staff manages the District's operations.
The District now covers roughly 325.31 acres of property within Wesley Chapel in Pasco County, Florida. As a local unit of special-purpose government, the District offers an alternate method for funding, planning, building, maintaining, and running, different public works and community amenities within its authority.
